Tiger Woods was ‘driving car lent to him for weekend’ during horror car crash

Golf icon Tiger Woods has been taken to hospital with leg injuries after he was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
Woods resides in Florida but he was in California after hosting the PGA Genesis Invitational over the weekend and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has released a statement confirming that the 45-year-old was involved in a "single vehicle roll-over traffic collision".
According to the Daily Mail, Woods was driving a Genesis GV80 which the car company had lent to him for the duration of his time in California.
The statement from the Sheriff's department said: "On February 23, 2021, at approximately 7:12AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.
"The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage.
"The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick “Tiger” Woods.
"Mr Woods was extricated from the wreck with the “jaws of life” by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
"The traffic investigation is being conducted by investigators from LASD Lomita Station."

Woods' agent Mark Steinberg has said that the golfer was taken to hospital for emergency surgery.
"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries.
"He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."
