Amir Khan told ‘you look like Amir Khan’ while boxing hero is out in London

Amir Khan was once one of the most recognisable faces in boxing helping to boost interest in the sport during the noughties and early 2010s.
The lightweight from Bolton shot to fame by winning silver at the Athens Olympic Games and went on to become unified light-welterweight champion of the world. Despite retiring earlier this year Khan still remains a fan's favourite.
While in London this weekend the 35-year-old past some fans who were trying to work out whether he was Khan or not. The former boxer posted a video on his Instagram account of himself walking near London Bridge when the amusing incident took place.

While panning around he walks past some people in the street and says hello before one person comments: "You look like Amir Khan bro." In reply Khan, who was clearly amused by the comment, replies: "You're the second person who has said that."
Khan was in London working for Sky Sports on Boxxer’s unique ‘Super Sunday’ event at Alexandra Palace. The main event will feature Adam Azim and Rylan Charlton with the undercard including Hassam Azim and Rhys Edwards.
Former world light-welterweight boxer Khan retired in February after losing to Kell Brook – finishing his career with 34 wins and six defeats.
Two weeks after retiring Khan called out Floyd Mayweather for an exhibition bout claiming that in their prime he would have beaten the American. Mayweather is currently making big money from exhibition non-scored fights and stopped Deji in the sixth round of their fight earlier this month.
However, the Mayweather nicknamed 'Money' doesn't feel that Khan is a big enough name to make an exhibition worthwhile and called him a 'cloud chaser'
"Amir Khan is reaching and reaching and reaching," said Mayweather talking to theDaily Mail . "He has been reaching his whole career.
"He was a pretty cool fighter, he wasn't a Floyd Mayweather or any of the other top guys. He did what he had to do. He's a cloud chaser. I'm not even worried about Amir Khan."
Since his retirement Khan has remained working in the boxing industry as an expert on television at different bouts. Despite his successful boxing career the 35-year-old told how he lost £5million through “silly investments” having set up a shisha bar, restaurants and a coffee shop. He also built a wedding hall in Bolton which cost him £12m.
However, the British star is still believed to be worth around £34m as of 2022.
