Fury tucks into huge dessert and calls Wilder a 'cheesecake'

‘Deontay Wilder is nothing more than a cheesecake himself, with ice cream on the side’: Tyson Fury shows ‘how seriously’ he is taking July 24 trilogy as he makes dig at American rival before tucking into huge dessert

  • Tyson Fury has confirmed he will fight Deontay Wilder for a third time on July 24

Tyson Fury’s mind games have already started ahead of the trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder on July 24.

The British heavyweight shared a video on his Instagram story of himself and the family ordering a huge chunk of cheesecake with extra ice cream on the side.

Fury said: ‘That time of the day guys, nice big dessert, that’s how much I’m preparing for Deontay Wilder. Because at the end of the day, he’s nothing more than a cheesecake himself.’

Tyson Fury posted a video comparing Deontay Wilder to a plate of cheesecake

The British heavyweight is facing the American again in a trilogy bout on July 24

The ‘Gypsy King’ has been training regularly over the past few months ahead of what he, and fans thought would be a massive unification clash with Anthony Joshua.

But those plans for an August blockbuster in Saudi Arabia have been shelved for now after an arbitration panel ruled that Fury has to take on the ‘Bronze Bomber’ for a third time.

And evidently Fury thinks little of his opponent’s chances, although he has never been one to overly restrict his diet.

Whether or not the American is consumed like a cheesecake on July 24 remains to be seen but the British heavyweight is bullish about his chances, especially after the emphatic manner of his win in the rematch having controversially drawn their first encounter.

Prior to Josh Taylor’s win over Jose Ramirez in Las Vegas, Fury told the American TV audience: ‘I will knock out Wilder on July 24 in this town and I’ll knock out Anthony Joshua as soon as he likes after that.’

He also posted a video, saying: ‘Wilder three fight because Wilder’s a p****, excuse-maker and a s***house. Shall we do it and put him out of his misery?’

‘Put him seriously smashed to bits, crack the other side of his skull, give him another shoulder injury, another bicep injury, a leg injury, nut**** injury, the whole lot.’

The camera then showed Fury putting pen to paper before he fired another warning to Wilder.

‘Wilder, contract’s signed, you’re getting smashed,’ he said.

Wilder has been ridiculed for an outrageous list of excuses for his defeat last time, ranging from poisoned water to Fury allegedly putting egg weights in his gloves and even blaming the walk out costume for being too heavy.

He will have a chance to show he is more than just a sore loser when he has another shot at the heavyweight champion in just under two months.
