Daniel Cormier has claimed that Khabib Nurmagomedov would come out of retirement if he had the chance to fight Georges St-Pierre.
UFC president Dana White is set to meet up with Khabib on the week of UFC 257 next month, which is headlined by the return of Conor McGregor as he faces Dustin Poirier in their highly anticipated rematch.
White plans to sit down with the reigning lightweight champion to pitch a return after Khabib announced his retirement following his victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

Dana White however has talked up a rematch for Khabib with Conor McGregor in the future
A rematch with McGregor has been discussed by White, but Cormier reckons only a clash against the former two division champion St-Pierre would interest Khabib.
Speaking to MMA Fighting, he said: ‘I don’t know for certain that Khabib is going to fight. I don’t know if he’s not going to fight.
‘I try to keep our relationship a friendship. I don’t want to always be talking to him about things about his career because he’s a star.
‘But if you’re Dana White, I think he’s playing it the exact way he needs to and I don’t know where Khabib is personally. But if you ask me still, I know this guy is a man of his word so I don’t know what he’s going to do.’
When questioned over who he could potentially fight he added: ‘It would have to be Georges St-Pierre.
‘I believe that a big fight is what he would want in order to just prove himself. Like you said, Khabib Nurmagomedov is just trying to make history and a win over Georges St-Pierre would do exactly that for him.

Georges St-Pierre has been suggested though he has not fought in the ring since 2017
‘When your resume becomes so big, not many things can add value to it. If he can go and [fight] GSP and beat GSP, that adds value.’
St-Pierre is a legend in UFC having won championships at both welterweight and middleweight divisions.
He holds a 26-2 win-loss record but hasn’t fought in the Octagon since a November 2017 submission victory over Michael Bisping.
