Darren 'The Dentist' Stewart has embraced the grind that is the life of a fighter and is determined to be the one left smiling as he prepares for his return to the octagon.

The East Londoner will be out to brush past American Dustin Jacoby at UFC Vegas 36 on Saturday August 28 and get his return to the light-heavyweight ranks up and running.

Having been on the wrong end of the judges' scorecards in June against Eryk Anders, Stewart, 30, who has spent the majority of his UFC career in the middleweight division, will step back into the cage looking and feeling every bit the 205lber.

Stewart, who has been fighting in the UFC for nearly five years, said: “I am a lot happier at light-heavyweight. I feel a lot stronger, the division is a lot more open and I can also take short-notice fights.

“During this pandemic it doesn't make sense to go back to middleweight as people are missing weight for a reason.

“But I have seen how this game works, what goes on and what people are looking for and I am getting more wise now, having turned 30.

“Now people should look out for me on the 28th because it is going to be a war.

“I don't give a damn if Dustin is a rangy guy, I am looking to smash faces.

“'The Dentist' is back and I am focused on pure smoke. I am doing this for the British people and they can expect a war.”
