Tommy Fury to fight bitter rival Jake Paul in December showdown worth over £1m
Tommy Fury’s highly-anticipated clash with rival Jake Paul is finally gaining momentum as the two prepare to fight this December in a whopping £1million-plus grudge match.
The Love Island winner and YouTuber-turned-boxer have had a number of back and forths on social media over the past year with Paul, 24, repeatedly calling out Fury.
Fury, 22, fought on the undercard of Paul’s recent bout with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in August, where the two clashed backstage following the American’s win by decision.
And now Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that a deal for the pair to fight in December is all but complete, with contract talks likely to be sealed by the end of this week.
Speaking to IFL TV, Warren said: "At the moment we're working through the terms, we're quite close and I'm hoping we can get it over the line.
"It's a great fight for Tommy. It's a very lucrative fight for him. Financially how can you turn that down.
"I think he wins it. It's captured everyone's imagination, it's all they were talking about out in the States.
"Hopefully we'll finish it off this week and we can move forward.
