Tyson Fury enduring self-enforced sex ban before Deontay Wilder fight

Tyson Fury – who once boasted about masturbating seven times a day – has slapped himself with a complete sex ban before his third fight with Deontay Wilder.

Fury will attempt to put a concussive end to his rivalry with Wilder when he puts his heavyweight world title on the line in Las Vegas this weekend.

And although the self-styled 'Gypsy King' doubts the benefits of abstinence, Fury is taking no chances as he looks to protect his unbeaten record.

"No shagging before fights? Nah, that’s a myth, don’t believe it," he said. "But my d*** will be in my pants – it’s in there more or less full-time but it might be coming out after the fight.

"I don’t believe in sex in training camp, I am an old school fighter and I like to keep nice and strong, keep it all in the tank and then take out all the aggression on the night.

"I’m not relieving myself once a week – let alone once or seven times a day. I don’t even remember when I had my last w***!"

Fury raised eyebrows last year when he made several outlandish boasts about his preparations for his second fight with Wilder.

The Mancunian went on to stop his American rival in the seventh round of their sequel, 15 months after being denied victory by the judges in their first encounter.

And beforehand he claimed: "I'm doing a lot of things I didn't before. I'm eating five or six meals a day, I'm drinking eight litres of water a day.

"I don't know if any of that even matters on the night. It didn't matter before but if it's gonna give me an edge on winning this fight then I'm willing to try it, why not?

"I'm masturbating seven times a day, keep my testosterone pumping. I've got to keep active, testosterone flowing; I don't want the levels to go down."

And Fury added: "I was speaking to an old legendary bare-knuckle fighter from the travelling community, he’s called Big Joe Joyce.

"He told me about dipping his hands in petrol to toughen them up. So for this fight I’ll be dipping my hands in petrol for five minutes a day during the last three or four weeks of the training camp to really toughen them up.

"It worked for him, so I’m going to give it a try."
