Tyson Fury sends message to Deontay Wilder after trilogy fight postponed

Tyson Fury is looking forward to dishing out more punishment on Deontay Wilder once their trilogy fight can be finalised.

Plans to stage the third clash this summer in Las Vegas had to be abandoned due to the coronavirus pandemic, as Fury is on lockdown with the rest of the UK and sport has been suspended across the world.

Bob Arum suggested the bout would be rescheduled for October and Fury sent a message to Wilder while appearing on Good Morning Britain.

‘I’ll be obliged to give him a bit more,’ he said about Wilder.

‘You never get bored of beating Deontay Wilder, obviously.

‘It’s one of those things you take great pride out of doing. I really did what I said I was going to do.

‘Not many people, in boxing especially, say something then do exactly what they said they were going to do.

Fury has been streaming his workouts live from lockdown to his social media followers as the UK battle to arrest the spread of coronavirus.

The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed this week all fight nights in May had been cancelled which included Dillian Whyte’s clash with Alexander Povetkin and Derek Chisora’s bout against Oleksandr Usyk.

Both those fight nights will be rescheduled and there is currently no indication when boxing will be able to resume as normal.
