UFC two-weight world champion Amanda Nunes has sensationally called out television personality Kim Kardashian for an MMA bout in the UFC octagon.

Nunes, who most recently defeated Megan Anderson via first-round submission at UFC 259 to defend her women’s featherweight championship belt, called out Kardashian on Twitter last night.

The Lioness tweeted “Hey Kim Kardashian. Let’s do this? Lol,” accompanied by a photo of the two next to each other.

Interestingly, Kardashian does have previous combat sports experience, competing in 'The Kardashian Charity Knockout' boxing event in 2009. The founder of KKW Beauty would lose to actress Tamara Frapasella and has not boxed since.

A bout between Nunes and Kardashian, which admittedly seems unlikely to take place, would only continue the Brazilian’s rise to stardom.

Widely considered the greatest female MMA fighter of all time, Nunes has defeated the likes of Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko, Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm and is currently riding a 12-fight win streak, last losing in 2014.

Nunes’ call out comes just days after UFC President Dana White criticised the recent exhibition boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and social media star Logan Paul, also claiming that the UFC was not in the business of celebrity combat sports.

“That wasn’t a f*****g boxing match. Like I said before, there’s always going to be a market for that kind of stuff. There’s always going to be people that are willing to put down $50 to watch that kind of stuff. That’s so far away [from what we do].

“Think about this — imagine if Kim Kardashian wanted to fight Amanda Nunes. How big do you think that fight would be? It would be huge. It would be the biggest [event] but give me a f*****g break.”

With that being said, in the same interview, White also refused to rule out the possibility of Logan Paul appearing in the UFC, after his solid showing again Mayweather last weekend.

Paul faced Mayweather in an eight-round exhibition boxing match and while the former welterweight world champion was expected to knockout Paul without breaking much of a sweat, the contest went the full eight rounds.

Due to the bout’s unique ruleset, no winner was declared and while some suggested Mayweather wasn’t trying at all and could’ve ended the fight whenever he wanted, many argued Paul had claimed the moral victory.
