Stanford lands potential future lottery pick in 5-star Sierra Canyon wing Ziaire Williams

One of the nation's top basketball recruits, Ziaire Williams, made his college decision Sunday — he's headed to Stanford.

Williams chose the Cardinal over Arizona, North Carolina and USC in the massive recruiting win for coach Jerod Haase and his staff.

Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, Williams is the No. 5 overall prospect nationally and the top-ranked small forward. As an elite prospect, he also projects as a high first-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. 

"At the end of the day unfortunately, I could only choose one school," Williams said in his announcement video posted to Twitter. "With that being said, I'll be committing to … Stanford."
