Power fighting for finals survival

The Power currently find themselves three games outside the top eight, so it goes without saying that today is a must-win for them.

The red-hot Swans, meanwhile, are aiming to dislodge Carlton from the top four and head into this clash on the back of consecutive comeback wins against Richmond and Melbourne.

But Port Adelaide will take solace from the fact that they have won their last five games against the Swans by an average of 27 points, including their last three meetings at Adelaide Oval.

And after a horror start to the year at their home ground, losing their first three games there, Ken Hinkley’s men have recovered to win their last three at the venue.

The Swans’ recent record at Adelaide Oval isn’t flash, with only two wins from their past six matches.

This week on the Real Footy podcast, Michael Gleeson, Jake Niall and Caroline Wilson discuss the on and off-field issues for Melbourne after a third consecutive loss.

The Magpies were simply too good as they won their fourth on the trot, but the omission of Steven May via a club suspension didn’t help the premiers. Max Gawn was battered and bruised, while the Demons’ talls at either end of the ground were smashed in the aerial contests. Will the club’s off-field issues linger as the club tries to turn their form around?

Collingwood are looking into a video that has appeared of Jordan De Goey partying in Bali during his mid-season break.

A video surfaced late on Friday of De Goey dancing and mimicking a sex act at a nightspot in the popular holiday island.

The latest drama involving De Goey comes with the star player out of contract at the end of the season.
