Antonio Rudiger rinses Callum Hudson-Odoi after latest Instagram post

Antonio Rudiger has rinsed his Chelsea team-mate Callum Hudson-Odoi following the winger’s latest post on Instagram.

Like all other Premier League sides, Chelsea are currently in the midst of a two-week international break.

Unlike others though, the break has come at a good time for the Blues, who sit top of the Premier League table following their 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Both Rudiger and Hudson-Odoi played their part, starting the match in that win, which came courtesy of goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.

It was a much-needed victory at Stamford Bridge following 1-0 defeats by Man City in the league and Juventus in the Champions League.

Rudiger has since left London on international duty with Germany, who face Romania and North Macedonia in World Cup qualifiers.

That does not mean the defender is too busy for Instagram – and specifically chiding his team-mate.

Hudson-Odoi is very active on the social media platform, sharing photos of his football career, as well as more personal glimpses at his life away from the pitch with his 1.5million followers.

His most recent post has attracted nearly 70,000 likes in the first 10 hours of it being up, but it seems Rudiger is not a fan.

Alongside a picture of Hudson-Odoi posing with a friend and the caption “Finer details”, Rudiger has simply replied with three palm-to-face emojis.

Romelu Lukaku is more supportive, writing “Calliiiii”, while Arsenal youngster Tyreece John-Jules and Leicester City defender Ryan Bertrand are also in the comments.

Rudiger cannot write anything on social media without Chelsea supporters replying with a predictable message.

The 28-year-old’s current deal at Chelsea is due to expire next June and he is yet to commit his future to the club by signing a new contract.

Rudiger was asked this week about rumoured interest from Bayern Munich, who he would be free to negotiate a pre-contract with in January.

"Of course, I'm honoured by [Bayern's interest] and it proves that I've been doing things right," he said at a Germany press conference. "But I won't let myself become distracted.

"I have an obligation to my club to perform well. I have to prove myself in every game and not let myself be distracted by rumours.

"I feel good at Chelsea where I am now, so that suits me."
