Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants three signings when the transfer window reopens this summer, reports say. The Gunners have endured a problematic Premier League campaign under the Spaniard. And Edu is now likely to take action at the end of the season.
Arsenal face a difficult task to turn their season around.
They remain in contention for the Europa League trophy, though did concede a late away goal in the first leg of their quarter-final showdown with Slavia Prague last week.
And, as things stand, Arsenal are poised to miss out on a place in the Champions League for a fourth season in a row.
It’s been a torrid campaign for the Gunners, despite the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Kieran Tierney standing out.
And, now, Football London claim Arsenal will look at making three signings at the end of the campaign.
Their priority is the arrival of Martin Odegaard, who has flourished in north London ever since his move from Real Madrid back in January.

Securing his signature won’t be easy, however, with the La Liga giants likely to demand a fee in the region of £50million to let the player go.
It’s also difficult because of Chelsea and Liverpool, with both clubs also in the hunt.
A right-back is being eyed by Arsenal at a time where Hector Bellerin is being linked with a move to Barcelona.
And they also want a left-back to provide competition for Tierney, who continues to struggle with injuries.
While not mentioned by the publication, Arsenal could also find themselves signing a centre-forward should Alexandre Lacazette leave.

And whether Edu can bolster the club’s ranks, especially with the coronavirus crisis rumbling on, is something only time will tell.
Meanwhile, speaking recently to Express Sport, Arsenal legend George Graham urged his old side to spend big in order to help Arteta transform the club.
“They have got problems, but they can rectify them with three players,” Graham said.
“Arteta is doing a very good job. But while he has improved the players, he has only improved them to a certain point.
“They have got to have natural ability to get to the next level.
“Arsenal have outstanding young players, but they need help. Quality players around them to show them the way.
“They need to go out and buy two or three players, each costing £75m to £100m.”
Graham also thinks Arsenal have problems at both ends of the pitch, too, to make matters worse for Arteta.
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has made a point since he came into the club but not many others have enjoyed the same success,” Graham added.
“Alexandre Lacazette will get you a few goals here and there, but if you want top quality you want an Ian Wright or a Thierry Henry. Arsenal needs outstanding strikers.
“Then at the back they have just got to get rid of these stupid mistakes. If individuals keep making these mistakes, eventually you have to think, ‘maybe they are not good enough’.
“It is a Scottish thing, but anything you build you start with the foundation and that is why I started at the back.
“Mikel Arteta will know the players he needs. If he buys intelligent players, he will make them into top class defenders.
“Arsenal had waited 18 years before I won my first title in 1989. It’s been 17 years now.
“The sooner that money is spent, the better.”
