Arsenal ‘make bid’ to sign PSG star Layvin Kurzawa on free transfer
Arsenal have made moves to sign PSG's Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer ahead of Barcelona.
The full-back is set to be available for nothing when the summer transfer window opens.
Arsenal were previously linked with the Frenchman and look like making a second attempt at sealing his signature.
Barcelona are likely to rival the Gunners for the defender's services but according to Sport the Catalans have stuttered in their attempts to sign him.
Kurzawa favours a switch to Spain over north London with the La Liga champions seeing him as a cheap addition to their defence.
But the left-back’s agent Kia Joorabchian has told Barcelona they will not wait about for them to make a concrete move.
Serie A's Napoli are also tracking the Frenchman who is set to have several offers on the table.
Arsenal though are likely to add in several areas as Mikel Arteta looks to take advantage of his first summer as boss.
The Spaniard has watched on as his Gunners side ship goals on a regular basis.
William Saliba, who was signed last summer by Unai Emery, will arrive following his loan spell at Saint Etienne.
The 19-year-old is highly rated in France and much is expected of him at the Emirates.
Arteta has also targeted several midfield options with Valencia's Carlos Soler and current loanee Dani Ceballos on his shortlist.
