Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been open about his desire to see several incoming deals at the Emirates this summer – and they might've found their man in Ruben Neves.
The Wolves and Portugal star could look for a new challenge following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo, with Arteta keen to oversee a squad overhaul after a miserable campaign.
With Pedro Neto and Adama Traore also linked to Molineux departures, the Gunners are said to be leading the chase for Neves with the Kroenke family looking to get fans back onside.
The interest comes as Yves Bissouma is linked with a move away from Brighton, who are looking to keep hold of their best stars as Graham Potter looks to build.
The Times have reported that Arsenal turned to Neves after appearing to 'lose the race' to sign Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard following another impressive season in Scotland.
They add that Chinese-owned Wolves have put him up for sale alongside the aforementioned two team-mates, as they look to raise funds for incoming manager Bruno Lage.
With Leicester City understood to be leading the chase for Edouard as he eyes a reunion with Brendan Rodgers, Arsenal might be able to focus on Neves.
They add that while Bissouma has asked to leave the south coast, they are not looking to sell up before the new season begins.

While Wolves rejected an offer of around £50m for the 24-year-old following their first season back in the Premier League, he could go for around £34m this time out.
Stan Kroenke told fans after European Super League backlash: "The club has funds to invest and will do so wisely. Our constant aim will be to compete for silverware and championships.
"The long-term health of the club is of utmost importance and the board, chief executive, manager and the wider team will be working hard to achieve success for the club and our fans."
Arteta said on potential summer transfers earlier this month: "The squad needs changing.
"There were already a lot of changes in December, something that has not been done in years, but it tells us where we were. Things are going to have to change and the owners are going to back it up."
Adding: "Time is catching up right now. It's a trend, it's years now that this has been happening. If the distance and the margins with the rest become too big, then it's almost impossible to do it."
