Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was in high spirits when he arrived home on Sunday after he was filmed smiling and dancing with his match ball just hours after scoring a hat-trick in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Leeds.

Having taken several weeks out in compassionate leave to spend time with his sick mother, the Gunners skipper returned to Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up to make an emphatic statement, scoring his first ever hat-trick in the Premier League.

And with his torrid time now behind him, Aubameyang found the time to celebrate with his loved ones as he danced and sang at his home on Valentine’s Day.

As he turned up to his door, Aubameyang was greeted by close friend and tattoo artist Alejandro Nicolas Bernal who filmed the striker showing off his fancy footwork.

Bernal, who is believed to be in Aubameyang’s bubble, then sang songs and laughed with the Gabonese striker, as the pair continued to celebrate his first hat-trick in England’s top flight.

Aubameyang has struggled to hit top form this season and had only scored eight goals in 22 games before his hat-trick against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Now, with the wind in his sails, Aubameyang is keen to kick on while he took the time to thank everyone for their support.

‘Everybody around the club was giving me and my mum a lot of love. I received a lot of messages. I’m proud to be part of this club,’ said Aubameyang.

‘This means a lot to me. I’m a guy who always works hard and tries to give my best for my family and my team.

‘It’s been a tough time but it’s time to get my smile back.

Aubameyang explained his recent absence to supporters as he spent time with his ill mother

‘I’m really happy. My kids are going to be happy because they will get the match ball.

‘We knew it would be a hard game. They never gave up. They fought a lot. It was good game management.

‘It was important to show that this our home, this is where we have to win games, and we did it.’
