Barcelona vs Bayern Munich LIVE: Team news, line-ups and more ahead of Champions League fixture tonight

Barcelona take on Bayern Munich in Lisbon tonight for a spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

On the opposite side of the draw, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig have already secured their places in the final four, and the winner of this evening’s tie will face either Manchester City or Lyon in the other semi-final next week.

The last time Barca and Bayern met in the competition was in the final four in 2014/15, with the La Liga side beating their German opponents 5-3 on aggregate before going on to lift the trophy. Follow all the live action below:

Tonight’s quarter-final is going to be a cracker. Two giants of European football going head to head for a place in the Champions League semi-final.

Both sides have won this competition five times.

Bayern go into the game as favourties, in part due to Barcelona’s indifferent form since football came back, but when you’re up against Lionel Messi, you can never be too sure.

Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti has tested positive for Covid-19.

The defender will miss tonight’s quarter-final after the PCR tests, carried out on Thursday, came up positive for Coronavirus.

Umtiti is asymptomatic, is in good health and is isolating at home. 

The Club has informed the relevant sporting and health authorities as well as tracing all the people who have had contact with the player so that they can undergo the corresponding PCR tests.

Barcelona have Sergio Busquets back from suspension, as well as Arturo Vidal. Pending any setbacks to Lionel Messi after a heavy tackle by Kalidou Koulibaly, Barca look set to be at full strength.

Bayern Munich will be missing Benjamin Pavard through injury but have Kingsley Coman back.
