Cesc Fabregas names best teammates at Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Monaco
It's fair to say Cesc Fabregas has shared a dressing room with the world's best players during his glittering career – and he has lifted the lid on his favourites.
The Spaniard first broke onto the scene as a fresh-faced midfielder at Arsenal 17 years ago, having joined the Gunners' youth ranks from Barcelona, and helped the Londoners win the 2005 FA Cup
He eventually returned to the Spanish giants in 2011, winning one La Liga title and also starring in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs in his maiden season.
Fabregas was back on English soil three years later, this time with Chelsea, and he played a crucial role in the Blues' two Premier League title successes before he joined Monaco in January last year.
And, in a revealing Twitter Q&A on Monday, Fabregas was asked to name the best player from each club he played for.
He responded: "Thierry Henry (Arsenal), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and Radamel Falcao (Monaco)."
Fabregas was also asked whether he preferred to play to Highbury or the Emirates – the two Arsenal stadiums he called home, before eventually returning to Spain.
He said: "One of the toughest question I’ve seen around here…. what about you guys? Highbury was so so special… But The Emirates felt like home straight away."
Before making his move to Chelsea, the 32-year-old was also wanted by Manchester United.
