Eden Hazard has joined his Belgium international team-mates in promoting a new range of McDonalds burgers ahead of Euro 2020 having admitted his weight troubles in the past.

The two-time Premier League winning forward with Chelsea has had a torrid time in Spain since leaving west London, scoring five goals and making eight assists across 43 appearances.

During that same period since making his debut for Real Madrid, Hazard has missed 59 matches from injuries that range from a hairline crack in the foot to lengthy muscle problems.

Despite that form, Hazard has unsurprisingly been picked to feature at Euro 2020 under Roberto Martinez, and that has come with media duties alongside a fast food giant.

Hazard has been pictured alongside a new range of burgers in McDonalds, which have been designed with the Red Devils national side in mind ahead of the tournament.

They write on their website: "Fan of the Red Devils too? Ole, then we’re fans among each other!

"And to give you even more energy to cheer, you’ll find the exclusive Red Devils Burgers in your favourite McDonald's restaurant.

"You’ll recognise them right away by the devil's trident burned into the bun."

The new venture comes after Hazard was mocked on social media for his plumper figure when joining up with Real Madrid from Chelsea, before he lost the additional weight in just 10 days.

He told AS in relation to his summer away from football following his £115m dream transfer: "It's true. I'm not going to hide it, but when I'm on vacation, I'm on vacation.

"I had put on five kilos. I'm the type to put on quickly and lose so quickly if I'm careful.

"When I was 18 in Lille, I was 72 or 73kg. Muscle mass was 75kg, on a bad day, 77kg. I was 80kg this summer, I lost it in 10 days."

Also featuring in the advertisement are Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Thomas Meunier among others, with McDonalds also offering the chance to win prizes.

They add: "While we’re waiting for the Red Devils to take the field, you can admire them on top of the signed box of your Red Devils Burger.

"Via the McDonald's® app you can make a Red Devil appear in 3D and see him work the ball.

"Or you can enjoy devilish games and contests where you can win signed shirts and many other nice Red Devils prizes!"
