EPL 2020: Tottenham teammates square off in furious bust-up | video
Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris became embroiled in a furious bust-up with teammate Son Heung-Min as they left the field for halftime against Everton.
Lloris appeared to take exception to Son not chasing down an opponent in the dying moments of the half, with his team leading 1-0, and the goalkeeper ran straight over to the forward after the whistle.
“What’s going on here with these Spurs players?” the commentator said. “Huge Lloris and Son having to be kept apart from each other. Absolute fuming as there’s dissent within the ranks … you wouldn’t think they were winning, would you? Extraordinary scenes.”

“Good heavens, Son and Lloris having to be kept apart,” added Gary Lineker on Twitter. “Of all the players out there who might want to scrap, I wouldn’t have picked those two. Shows they care, I suppose.”
Son, who completed military service with South Korea in April, seemed to dismiss his skipper’s demonstrations and the pair had to be broken up by teammates as Lloris became angrier and attempted to push his teammate.
Errrr… does Lloris know that Son just completed military training?
The pair were seen making up with a hug as the team prepared to return for the second half, where they held the 1-0 advantage to the final whistle to move into the top half of the table.
But it was a surprising eruption after a good half for Spurs following their 3-1 defeat at Sheffield United last time out.
"A little cuddle, all friends again in the Spurs team." 🤗

An own-goal from Michael Keane, from Giovani Lo Celso’s shot, gave them the lead and they looked fairly in control until Son’s lack of a challenge allowed Everton to break and Richarlison to go close with a shot past Lloris just before the break.
But some believed the bust-up was all for show.

Former pro Jamie Redknapp showed footage which appeared to show Lloris ensuring teammate Giovani Lo Celso stayed between them. “He runs up to him (and) pushes Lo Celso in the way almost there, doesn’t he?”
🗣️ "He pushes Lo Celso IN the way" 🤣
