Fantasy Premier League captain tips: Who to captain in GW12 – Salah, Kane, Vardy?
The highest points in FPL last week came from Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, who bagged two goals and an assist in the 5-1 win against West Brom, rewarding those captained him with a staggering 36-point haul. There are plenty more eye-catching fixtures coming up in Gameweek 12, with several candidates to consider for the captaincy.
Here, Express Sport takes a look the top captaincy picks and differential options ahead GW12’s 6.30pm GMT deadline on Friday (December 11).
Fantasy Premier League captain tips
Mohamed Salah (LIV) vs Fulham
Salah returned to his usual goalscoring ways against Wolves last time out.
Since returning from his Covid absence, he now has two goals and assist from two games and also scored in the midweek Champions League match against Midtjylland.
Liverpool head to Fulham this weekend with Salah a prime pick for captaincy against a side that has conceded the second-most goals this season.
Harry Kane (TOT) vs Crystal Palace
Choosing between Kane and team-mate Heung-min Son can be a tricky decision, but the England international has performed slightly better of the two over the last five gameweeks.
Kane has scored three goals and provided two assists over that period, which are good returns for a captain.
He’s on penalty duties which gives him another edge as Spurs head to Crystal Palace this week.
Jamie Vardy (LEI) vs Brighton
Vardy was back among the goals in GW11 after two games without scoring.
The Leicester striker has been a popular captaincy pick over the years and there is the potential for a huge haul this weekend.
The Foxes have been awarded more penalties than any other side this season, while Brighton have conceded the most.
This will be music to the ears of Vardy, who has converted five times from the spot this term.

The Blades are bottom of the table and are yet to win a game this season.
Callum Wilson (NEW) vs West Brom

Next up for Newcastle is West Brom, who have conceded more goals than any other side this term.
