Eden Hazard’s nightmare first season at Real Madrid has suffered a further setback as he reportedly picked up an injury in a training match this week.
The Belgian star has been dogged by injuries since making an £88million switch to the Spanish capital last summer, and has started only 13 league games under Zinedine Zidane.
Having missed Madrid’s last two games after injuring his ankle in last month’s win at Espanyol, he returned to training on Tuesday.

Hazard has been struggling with a string of injuries in a difficult first season at the Bernabeu
But he was forced to pull out towards the end of a training match with more issues surrounding his ankle, according to Cadena SER.
Hazard missed nearly three months of the season after breaking a bone in his foot in a Champions League trip to PSG back in November.
And he was forced to undergo surgery on his troublesome ankle in the USA in March.
It leaves manager Zidane with a headache as Madrid close in on their first LaLiga title since 2017.

Hazard’s injury problems have restricted him to just 13 starts in the league for Real Madrid
They have four games remaining in the league campaign, starting with Friday night’s visit of Alaves, but the Belgium international is now a major doubt to feature again.
He has scored just once in 19 games at the Bernabeu since his stunning final season at Chelsea earned him the move he had dreamed of.
Madrid are one point ahead of Barcelona in the league table, but have a game in hand.
