Jadon Sancho ‘makes Dortmund transfer request decision’ amid Man Utd interest
Jadon Sancho has opted against handing in a transfer request to push through a move to Manchester United, according to reports.
Sancho has been left in limbo after Dortmund chiefs announced the £108million-rated forward will not be leaving this month.
The England international is keen on joining Manchester United, and speculation emerged the 20-year-old could hand in a transfer request to force a move.
But according to German publication BILD, Sancho has opted against doing this.
He instead intends to show the club the same commitment he did last season, and respects the decision of club chiefs to retain him.
United were given an August 10 deadline to make an acceptable bid for Sancho.
Dortmund flew out to Switzerland on the 10th for pre-season training ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign, and warned the Red Devils that no high-profile players will be leaving after this date.
United missed the self-imposed deadline, prompting Dortmund chief Michael Zorc to rule out the transfer in the press.
"We are planning with Sancho," said Zorc. "He'll play for us next season. The decision is final. I think that answers all of the questions."

He added: "Last summer, we adjusted the salary in line with Jadon's performance. In this context, we have extended the contract until 2023."
Dortmund later doubled down on this sentiment, with BVB head of licensed player division telling SID: "It was important to get clarity on the subject.
"We know about Jadon's attractiveness but also of his importance to us.He gives our team that little extra. We're happy that he's staying."
