Liverpool reportedly have no chance of signing Paris Saint-Germain starlet Kylian Mbappe this summer, with the forward far likelier to join Real Madrid if he departs the French capital.

Mbappe’s PSG contract expires next summer and fresh terms are yet to be agreed.
The Frenchman’s 27 goals in 31 Ligue 1 matches last season were not enough to prevent a disappointing campaign for his side.
PSG were pipped to the French league title for just the second time in nine years. Instead, Lille were crowned champions having earned just a point more than their title rivals.
It compounded a difficult start for new boss Mauricio Pochettino, who has already been rumoured with a departure after struggling to settle in Paris.
Pochettino was last month linked with a sensational return to former club Tottenham, although Spurs appear set to appoint ex-Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca as manager.

Pochettino will continue at PSG but he may have to do so without one of his star players.
Mbappe will soon enter the final 12 months of his deal and the club may look to cash in this summer rather than letting him go for free next year.
They initially signed the 22-year-old from Monaco on loan in 2017 before sealing a £125million permanent transfer a year later. He has scored a staggering 132 goals in 171 appearances for the French side.
La Liga giants Real might have to pay a similar fee to take Mbappe to the Spanish capital. However, new boss Carlo Ancelotti has a better chance of signing him than Liverpool, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano speaking on the PSG Talking podcast.
“Real Madrid are waiting [for Mbappe’s PSG contract talks]] because they have an obsession with Mbappe. They only want Mbappe but they know it is difficult,” Romano said.
He continued: “At this moment it is just PSG and Real Madrid, so there is no chance for other clubs. There is no chance for Liverpool, for example.”
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp wants to reinvigorate his side following a difficult defence of their 2019-20 Premier League title success.
A late resurgence saw Liverpool climb to third after a campaign filled with poor form and a devastating injury crisis.
Klopp has already urged Liverpool’s owners to put transfer plans in place before the start of pre-season.
He has already added defender Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.
“Yes, I’m very happy with my squad. Very, very happy,” Klopp said after his side defeated Crystal Palace to qualify for the Champions League on the final day of the season.
“Could this squad improve? Yes, like each squad could. Is that affordable? I don’t know. Is it necessary? I don’t know. Whatever happens, we will see.
“I don’t know [about transfers] in this moment, to be honest. We have to make decisions in and out on all these kinds of things. It’s normal in the summer.
“There’s a moment in the pre-season when I hope we have the team we will go through the season [with].”
