Liverpool learn Bissouma price, meet Kounde clause, Kelleher told to leave
Liverpool could be set for a double boost during this month's January transfer window with reports they have been encouraged in their pursuits of two players.
The Reds are in need of reinforcements in the middle of the park after injuries and Covid have decimated their central midfield positions in recent weeks.
One player they are said to be chasing is Brighton's Yves Bissouma, and the Reds have reportedly been told how much he will cost them to sign.
Reports coming out of Spain suggest Jurgen Klopp's side may be about to meet Sevilla defender Jules Kounde's release clause, although one young star has been told he may be better off leaving the Anfield side.
Daily Star Sport has taken a look at the latest Liverpool transfer news below.
Kelleher told to leave
Premier League legend Shay Given has told Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to leave the club on loan
Former Newcastle goalkeeper Given believes a loan move for his compatriot may help his development.
Given told Premier Sport [via Liverpool Echo ]: "He's in a bit of a predicament Kelleher.
"He's 23 years old, I'm trying to bring myself back to when I was that age and I'm not sure how many games I would have played, but I think he has only played 10 or 11 games.
"He's not a kid anymore, 23 is an age where I think he should be playing regular first-team football."

Liverpool 'to meet Kounde' clause
Reports coming out of Spain have suggested that Jurgen Klopp is ready to meet French defender Jules Kounde's release clause.
The centre-back was widely tipped to sign for Chelsea last summer but the Blues dropped out of the deal as Sevilla refused to lower their asking price below his £68.5million release clause.
But El Nacional claims Liverpool are happy to meet that asking price and could make a move for the defender this month.
The report claims Kounde has "has given his approval to the offer presented to him by Liverpool" and is said to be keen to leave Sevilla and sign for one of Europe's top clubs.

Brighton 'set Bissouma asking price'
Liverpool will have to pay £50million to seal the signature of Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, it has been claimed.
Bissouma has just 18 months left on his Brighton contract and reports have suggested his club may look to cash in on him this month rather than risk losing out on a substantial fee as his contract runs down.
According to The Athletic, Brighton are intent on keeping Bissouma for the remainder of the season but could sell the Malian should they receive an offer of £50m.
But the report adds that Brighton "have the advantage of not needing to sell".
