Liverpool player ratings vs Fulham: Four stars get a five as Jurgen Klopp’s side held

Liverpool: Pictures from Fulham trip in Premier League

Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage against an inspired Fulham side on Sunday. Fulham took a deserved 1-0 lead into the half-time interval following Bobby Decordova-Reid’s fine strike. Mohamed Salah equalised from the spot for the Reds but Jurgen Klopp’s side were unable to find the winner. Express Sport has given an in-depth look at the Liverpool players’ performances and rated each of them out of 10.

Liverpool player ratings vs Fulham:

Alisson 7

Some strong early saves – otherwise it could have been a hatful for Fulham.

Alexander-Arnold 6

Tidy enough with his deliveries but nothing good enough to unlock the Fulham defence.

Matip 5

Looked uncomfortable with the Fulham attack long before he went off at half-time with a back injury.

Fabinho 6

Got away with a VAR penalty appeal which might have made Liverpool’s night even worse.

Robertson – 5

Set-pieces were not up his usual high stantdard and nearly got in a mix with Alisson after half-time.

Jones – 7

Strangely, he seemed more determined than his more established team-mate to try to retrieve the situation.

Henderson – 7

Auxiliary centre-back in second half but should have scored when put through on 61 minutes.

Wijnaldum – 6

Seemed a little bit more in his shell than usual – but then his free-kick earned the penalty.

Mane – 7

Looked menacing whenever he got on the ball but it always fizzled out much too quickly.

Firmino – 5

Closely watched by Andersen at all times, he struggled to get a toehold in the game.

Salah – 7

A couple of long-range efforts on a quiet evening but needed no second invitation for the penalty.

Minamino (for Matip ht) 5

Williams (for Alexander-Arnold 68) 5

Origi (for Salah 84) N/A
