Man Utd transfer round-up as Jesse Lingard makes decision on future

Manchester United have certainly improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season but, with the Red Devils currently ten points behind rivals Manchester City in the Premier League title race, it is clear that they are in need of further investment in the summer.

A new centre-back and a new striker are said to be on Solskjaer's wish list, with several big names already linked with a move to Old Trafford.

There could also be several outgoings, with a number of fringe players expected to depart the club in search of more regular first team football.

United tipped to sign Haaland or Kane

Danny Murphy has tipped United to sign either Erling Haaland or Harry Kane this summer, claiming both players make the move to Manchester.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Murphy said: "I think the desire from the two Manchester clubs will be to get to the next level, especially Man United. I think £100million [for Kane] from United or City is doable. I think Haaland will go to one of them and Kane will go to the other."

Lingard 'to push for permanent exit'

According to a report from Eurosport, Jesse Lingard will seek a permanent move away from Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has impressed on loan at West Ham and it is claimed that his form for the Hammers is persuading him that a fresh start away from United may be best for his career.

Youngster signs first professional deal

17-year-old defender Marc Jurado has signed his first professional contract with United, having made the move to England from Barcelona last summer.

Taking to social media, Jurado wrote: "Delighted to have signed my first professional contract with @manchesterunited. Also I would like to thank all my family, my friends and everyone for all their support."
