Man Utd transfers: Sancho wants move, Upamecano stance decided, Telles potential swap

Manchester United remain keen to make signings before the transfer window slams shut on Monday. Jadon Sancho, Alex Telles and Dayot Upamecano have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford. So Express Sport will bring you all the latest news and gossip.

Sancho wants move

Manchester United think Jadon Sancho wants a move to Old Trafford, reports say.

The club’s interest in the Borussia Dortmund star has been well-documented throughout the transfer window, though he remains at the Westfalenstadion for the time being.

And the Evening Standard say United believe Sancho would be keen to make a return to the Premier League if a fee can be agreed before Monday’s deadline.

They’re said to have made a ‘breakthrough’ regarding personal terms and agent fees.

But United must convince Dortmund into selling, with the Bundesliga giants demanding a huge £108million to part ways with their talisman.

Upamecano stance decided

United’s defence has come under scrutiny during the early stages of the new season.

The Red Devils have already shipped five goals from two Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and Brighton respectively.

Yet the Manchester Evening News say United are unlikely to green-light a move for Upamecano before the transfer deadline.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big admirer of the France international, who impressed for RB Leipzig as they reached the Champions League semi-finals last term.

But a move to the Theatre of Dreams seemingly won’t be happening this summer.

Telles potential swap

United are keen to bring Telles to Old Trafford, having missed out on landing Sergio Reguilon to Premier League rivals Tottenham.

And Portuguese journalist Rui Pedro Braz has told TVI24 show Mais Transferências that the left-back should complete a move.

He said: “I think Alex Telles is going to be a Manchester United player.”

It was also suggested that Diogo Dalot could head back to Porto as part of a swap deal.

But the Portuguese youngster is attracting interest from AC Milan and what ultimately happens remains to be seen.

Dortmund insist Sancho will stay

Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill has claimed Dortmund are adamant Sancho will remain at the club, despite United’s interest.

“They’re even more entrenched in that view,” he said on Sky Sports.

“I spoke to someone at the club yesterday and they’re saying there’s no way that the player will be sold at all this summer window.

“The actual quote was, ‘it’s not happening’.

“They’re saying it would be silly to sell him.”
