Man Utd will move for N’Golo Kante if Chelsea give them transfer encouragement
Manchester United will be interested in N’Golo Kante if Chelsea give them any encouragement, according to reports. The France international could leave Stamford Bridge this transfer window. But, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to admire the World Cup winner, Inter Milan are interested too.
Manchester United are currently well-stocked in the middle of the park.
Solskjaer’s side have strengthened there by signing Donny van de Beek, who has moved from Ajax on a five-year contract in a £40million deal.
They also have Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes at their disposal, with Nemanja Matic, Fred, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard on their books too.
But, despite that, United could yet spend more money reinforcing the middle of the park.
And the Daily Mail say Solskjaer’s side would be interested in signing Kante should Chelsea give them any encouragement a deal could be struck.
The 29-year-old has been a good asset for the Blues ever since his arrival from Leicester back in the summer transfer window of 2016, helping them win the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League during his time in the capital.

But with Chelsea looking to somewhat balance the books after a summer spending spree so far, they could cut the veteran loose.
And United may be his next destination, with the club ready to act if Chelsea suggest they’re open to a deal.
The two teams are fierce Premier League rivals, once competing year after year for the title itself. In recent years, though, they’ve had to battle for a place in the Champions League.
But, despite that, players have still moved between the two teams in recent years.

The Spain international had been the Blues’ player of the year the previous season but was sold by Jose Mourinho, who deemed him an ill-fit for his own Stamford Bridge project.
And, in 2017, United again raided the west London giants for Matic – who has overcome some issues to become a vital asset for Solskjaer.
Meanwhile, speaking recently, Crystal Palace forward Andros Townsend urged United to sign Kante as they look to win the Premier League title next time out.
“For me, 100 per cent, his best position is just in front of the back four, patrolling that midfield, literally like a wall between the midfield and the back four,” Townsend told talkSPORT.
“He is the best player in the world in that position. If, hypothetically, he went to Man United, he would make them title challengers.

“Not only because they’ve got N’Golo Kante, but the freedom it’ll allow Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes to play higher up the field.”
Townsend also feels Chelsea would be wrong for selling Kante, adding: “I hope he’s still got a place at Chelsea. Like I said, he’s the best player in the world in that position.
“I’d like to think he can get back into the team and get playing as well as we know he can. But only Frank [Lampard] can answer that question.
“Maybe Frank is like [Maurizio] Sarri where he doesn’t see that [defensive midfield] position, playing that way in the Premier League.
“Maybe he wants to play a bit more attacking. Kante can go to any team in the world.”
