Premier League’s most popular owners includes Man Utd’s Glazer family in top ten

Manchester United ’s Glazer family have been placed in the top ten most popular Premier League owners.

According to analysis by, which looked at fans social media activity directed towards owners, the American’s sit tenth in the rankings.

Despite much criticism and years of protests, the Glazers still remain surprisingly somewhat popular at Old Trafford.

Demonstrations were so bad last year, one Premier League needed to be postponed, but they are only one spot lower than Manchester City ’s Sheikh Mansour.

The return of Cristiano Ronaldo may have papered over a few of the cracks, as the club invested in the summer in the hope of competing for silverware.

Like City and United, Chelsea were in favour of proposals of a European Super League, but this has not hindered Roman Abramovich’s popularity.

The Russian owner sits third in the list, despite his role in the breakaway competition.

After a drastic U-turn, he has got the fans back on side with his financial backing, which includes the signing of Romelu Lukaku during the summer.

Tottenham’s ENIC Group sit in the top five as well, but criticism for Daniel Levy remains.

The remaining two clubs involved in the Super League were Liverpool and Arsenal, who sit 11 th and 16 th in the rankings.

Elsewhere, Leicester’s Srivaddhanaprabha family have been ranked the most popular.

The late Vichai Srivaddhanprabha played a key role in the success of the Foxes, which includes winning the 2015/16 Premier League title and becoming regulars in the top ten.

Since his untimely death in 2018, his son Aiayawatt has helped the club continue to progress, with them lifting their first ever FA Cup last season.

Brighton’s Tony Bloom is also highly ranked, with his ownership seeing the club promoted to the top tier for the first time since 1983.
