Richarlison has ‘agreement in principle’ for PSG deal – but Everton want £85m
Everton ace Richarlison has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with PSG amid speculation over a transfer.
The Ligue 1 giants are believed to be eyeing a move for the Brazil star with Kylian Mbappe pushing for a move to Real Madrid.
Despite signing Lionel Messi already this summer, PSG are still keen to replace Mbappe should the French star leave in the coming days.
And they have eyed Richarlison, though securing a deal with Premier League outfit Everton is not set to be easy.
Transfer guru Nicolo Schira has revealed PSG chief Leonardo has already met Richarlison's agents over a possible move.
An agreement for a contract until 2026 has already been agreed, though sorting a transfer fee may not be straightforward.
Schira adds that Everton want at least £85million (€100m) for Richarlison, having paid up to £50million for him back in 2018.
Richarlison had been the subject of an £85m bid from Barcelona in January 2020 though said he was happy to stay at Everton.
When asked about talks with then boss Carlo Ancelotti in the summer of 2020, he said: "It's all been talked about, he's already told me he's counting on me for another season, he asked me to hold on for a bit.
"Though it all depends, if a good offer were to come in, we sit down and talk, that's part of football. We're still talking about these details, working things out.
"He's bringing in new players, so we'll sit down and talk, but I think I can hold on for another season."
While new boss Rafael Benitez said earlier this summer: "I was in contact with him, he had the Olympic Games in the back of his head, we needed to sort out his situation and he is fine.
“He is happy because he can go there… and he knows he has to give us something back because we were supporting him."
