Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘ready to fly’ to England from Turin today after agreeing personal terms with Manchester City.
The 36-year-old forward has agreed to terms with the Premier League champions and is said to have missed training with Juventus this morning with the deal reaching its final stages.
It was announced by several sources on Thursday that the Portugal captain wished to leave the Bianconeri, where he won back-to-back Scudettos and finished as the league’s top-scorer last campaign.
And now Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reports that all there is left to complete the transfer is an agreement between Man City and Juventus.
Schira wrote on Twitter on Friday afternoon: “Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester City. He agreed personal terms with Man City for a contract until 2023 (€20million a year).
“He has left Juventus training centre and is ready to fly to England in the next hours.
“Now Man City are set to close the deal with Juve.”
Ronaldo is believed to want a new challenge and a destination where he can compete with Lionel Messi for this season’s Champions League title.

Returning Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri reportedly had no wish to include Ronaldo in his plans either, which allowed the icon to seek other clubs freely.
Meanwhile, Man City’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane came to an end this week following the player’s announcement on Instagram.
That left Pep Guardiola still without a predatory striker who can score over 20 goals a season which resulted in Ronaldo becoming the primary target.
Ronaldo is currently the all-time leading goal-scorer for Real Madrid, international matches and the Champions League, which is Guardiola’s greatest ambition to win.
