West Ham pushing for Celtic’s £35m Edouard – but player favours alternative move
West Ham will push to sign £35million-rated Odsonne Edouard from Celtic before the end of the transfer window.
Sebastien Haller was offloaded to Ajax for around £20m earlier this month.
And with the flop forward now off the books, David Moyes is desperate to source a suitable replacement.
Edouard, a £10m buy from PSG in 2018, has been a revelation at Celtic Park with 74 goals in 151 games.
Moyes has had the Frenchman watched on several occasions and believes he can flourish south of the border.
Edouard is desperate to test himself in the Premier League and fancies a move to London.
However, it's understood that the 23-year-old would ideally like to join an established top-six side.
Tottenham and Arsenal are also admirers, but wouldn't be prepared to consider a swoop until the summer.
Edouard has entered the final 18 months of his contract and the Glasgow giants are ready to cash in now if the price is right.
