Nash Rawiller ruled out of Winx Stakes meeting, Entriviere faces another vet inspection
Champion jockey Nash Rawiller will not ride at Randwick on Saturday after failing to secure a doctor’s clearance.
Rawiller suffered an undisplaced fracture to his right foot and also a puncture wound to the same foot in an incident when leaving the mounting yard on the Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou-trained Fine Ruby at Hawkesbury on Thursday,
Rawiller suffered the injury when foot became wedged against the fence.
The three time champion Sydney jockey underwent surgery on Thursday night to clean the wound before being discharged on Friday morning.
He visited his doctor on Friday afternoon, but the risk of infection resulted in the doctor advising the jockey it would be in his best interests to stand down from riding for a couple of weeks.
Rawiller said he plans to return to the saddle on Chelmsford Stakes day at Randwick on September 4.
Rawiller’s main mounts this Saturday were – Dreamforce in the Group 1 Winx Stakes, Four Moves Ahead in the Group 2 Silver Shadow Stakes, Chat in the Group 3 Show County Quality (1200m) and Forbidden Love in the Group 3 Toy Show Quality (1100m).

Reigning champion Sydney jockey James McDonald is expected to land the mount on Four Moves Ahead, the $2 favourite for the Silver Shadow Stakes.
Replacement riders are expected to all be named by 7.30am on Saturday, the same time a vet inspection will decide if Kiwi mare Entriviere takes her place in the Group 3 Bowerman’s Furniture Toy Show Quality (1100m).
Entriviere underwent an inspection by Racing NSW chief vet Dr Toby Koenig on Friday following a report to stewards from the mare’s trainer Jamie Richards that the daughter of Tavistock was mildly lame in the off-fore leg following a track gallop on Thursday.
Dr Koenig has reported “the mare has responded well to treatment and the lameness has improved”.
Entriviere will undergo another inspection on Saturday morning prior to final scratchings to assess whether the five-year-old is deemed fit enough to take her place in the field.
Entriviere has been a drifting favourite from $3.10 to $3.90 with TAB fixed odds for the Fillies and Mares’ handicap after drawing the extreme outside in barrier 19 for her first-up run.

Richards will instruct James McDonald to ride Entriviere with cover from the horror draw if she runs in the race.
The mare is Te Akau Racing’s top seed to earn a berth in the $2m The Invitation later this spring where she is currently rated a $9 third elect.
Meanwhile, champion trainer Chris Waller has informed stewards’ that She’s All Class was scratched from the Group 2 Darley Silver Shadow Stakes (1200m) “due to a mildly elevated temperature”.
Waller told stewards he plans to push on to run the daughter of I Am Invincible in the Group 2 Darley Furious Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on September 4 “provided she recovers quickly and pleases” in her work.
