Tymal Mills names IPL advantage England have ahead of T20 World Cup
Tymal Mills earned an England recall for the T20 World Cup, having last played international cricket in February 2017.
With Jofra Archer out injured, Mills has been called up as his replacement and the 29-year-old is feeling confident about England's chances of winning the tournament.
Mills also believes the fact that eight members of England's World Cup squad are currently in the UAE for the Indian Premier League will improve their chances of lifting the trophy.
He said: "One of our advantages is that we've got half the squad playing in the IPL at the moment.
"I'm sure we'll come out of that with a bunch of information, and the analyst [Nathan Leamon] is out there with KKR [Kolkata Knight Riders].
"We'll be well-prepped and well-versed by the time we get together. I'm sure we'll be full of confidence and back ourselves to beat any team.
"The pitches look like they've been quite sluggish, particularly in the day games. It looks like they're trying – particularly in Dubai – to keep the pitches with quite a bit of grass on to keep them fresh by the time the World Cup starts.
"We've got a very strong, very adaptable squad and most of the guys have played a lot of cricket in that area, whether it's IPL, PSL or internationally."

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler has backed Mills to make an impact on his return to the international stage, saying: "I enjoyed watching The Hundred and seeing Tymal operate again. We’ve seen him a bit before in an England shirt and it’s a fantastic story for him to be back at a World Cup.
"I think that left-arm angle and extreme pace [will be great] and he’s got a pretty good slower ball as well.
"He's a great guy to have in your squad that can pose a lot of problems and has been performing brilliantly well. He’ll come into that tournament with confidence."
